Surrogacy
Surrogacy is a fertility treatment where a surrogate (or individual) with a uterus carries a child for another person or couple. The process is where a donor or intended parents’ eggs and sperm are used to make embryos that are then transferred into the surrogate’s uterus. Depending on the patients, the embryo carried can be from a donor or the intended parents.
Surrogacy is for:
-
Health conditions that prevent an individual from carrying a baby
-
Single family building
-
Same-sex or transgender couples where neither individual has a uterus
-
Absence or impairment of a uterus
-
Cancer causing unsafe measures to carry the pregnancy
-
LGBTQ+ couples
The process,

If you decide to use a surrogate, our doctor and staff will go over the entire process including financials to determine if a surrogate is right for you.
-
If you choose to find a surrogate, it will be gestational, or when the surrogate does not have a genetic tie to the child they carry. This makes the legal arrangements more straightforward. When it comes to choosing a surrogate, look for an individual who is healthy, with a uterus between the ages of 21 and 35, with a history of normal pregnancy, and full-term delivery sans complications.
